The people who work hard to further the Vision
Crystal Garabito
Wee Place Director & Nursery Coordinator
Stepping into the role of Director at Wee Place has filled my heart with immense joy. Having previously taught here, I am beyond thrilled to return and be part of the relaunch of this beloved school. It is a true blessing to serve both our church and the children entrusted to us. I’ve been happily married to my amazing husband, Christian, for 8 years, and together we are blessed with three beautiful children: Aubrey, Leo, and Olivia. My passion for teaching flows directly from my love for being a mother. I am truly excited to pour God's love and wisdom into each child, believing wholeheartedly that they are the leaders of tomorrow. Two of my favorite Bible verses that inspire me daily are: “The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?”(Psalm 27:1) “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”(Philippians 4:13) My faith in the Lord empowers me to live each day to its fullest, always doing everything with love and purpose.
Jose Martinez
Youth Pastorr
Jose Martinez serves as the interim Willow Kids Pastor and has been a dedicated member of Willow Church since 2020. With years of experience in children's ministry, Jose has a deep passion for guiding young hearts toward Christ, with a strong desire to see children filled with the Holy Spirit. Inspired by David’s pursuit of God’s heart (1 Samuel 13:14) and the unwavering faith of Joseph (Hebrews 11:1), Jose is a servant-leader, mentor, builder, teacher, coach and visionary. Above all, he cherishes his roles as a devoted husband to Nikki and proud father of Oryon, Kaylene, and Jacob. Jose believes that children are the future of God's Kingdom and is committed to teaching them biblical truths in dynamic, engaging ways, ensuring they are equipped to carry the message of Christ (Deuteronomy 6:6-25).
Shawn Haltiwanger
Children’s Leader
Shawn Haltiwanger is a passionate believer and educator, currently completing her third year in a Children and Family program at Christ For the Nations. With an Associate of Practical Theology, Shawn is deeply committed to guiding children and families in their spiritual journeys. She believes that God calls each person into their divine purpose, and she humbly walks in the direction He has set before her.
Shawn’s heart for children is reflected in her favorite scriptures, especially Acts 2:38-39, which highlights the promise of the Holy Spirit for both children and adults: "This promise is to you, to your children, and to all who are far off—everyone whom the Lord our God calls to Himself." Her prayer is to see a new generation awakened to their spiritual gifts and ignited for revival, knowing that many of the greatest movements of God have started with youth.
Shawn, along with her husband Brian and their family, is excited to partner with Taylor Bedrich to help Willow Kids discover their calling in Christ. Together, they hope to empower the next generation to be not just a spark but a burning remnant of God's glory. Shawn and Brian are also blessed parents and proud grandparents, with five grandchildren and another on the way.
